Need Encouragement? This past week, a music artist reached out to me for prayer and encouragement. Disappointed that they weren’t further along in their accomplishments and dreams, they expressed frustration and doubt. I resonated with their pain, disappointment, and frustration. Why? Because I’ve been there.
One week prior to the opportunity to lift a brother up in Christ, I struggled with my own battle of uncertainty and discouragement. I reached out to a friend God placed in my path awhile back. My friend took time to pray and write words of encouragement that gave me hope and lifted my spirit. I have these words to treasure and keep as a reminder of God’s love, provision and promises. Surrender your dreams to the Lord, and be encouraged by Joshua 1:9 (NIV), “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go?”
